SCSI Terminators
Each end of the SCSI chain/cable needs to be terminated. On the controller end, the controller provides this termination, on the other end you need to use a terminator (unless the last device on the cable supplies its own termination, which is rare.) There is also a special kind of terminator called a pass-through terminator. These are used when there is no connector at the end of the cable to plug in a terminator. You place the pass-through terminator between the connector and the last device on the cable, connecting the device and terminating the chain at the same time.
