SCSI to IDE/SATA/USB/FW Adapters
The SCSI to IDE/SATA bridges convert your IDE device (we have different models that support optical drive only, hard drives only or both), it can be connected to LVD SCSI. This will let you use cost-effective optical drives and large capacity hard drives in an all-SCSI setup without any performance hit. We also have adapters to convert your external SCSI device (or an internal SCSI device placed into a SCSI enclosure) to USB or Firewire.
ACARD's SCSI-IDE and SATA bridges support most platforms and/or Operating System including PC Windows 98/ME/NT2000/XP and Linux platforms. With an IDE/SATA device installed into the bridge, it can be connected to SCSI host adapter and works as a standard SCSI peripheral. They are typically used with cheap large capacity IDE/SATA drives or optical drives.
If you want to use a SCSI drive on an IDE bus, unfortunately it is not possible. The best and simplest way to go about it is to use a low cost SCSI controller - please see our SCSI controllers section.
LVD SCSI interface, up to 80MB/sec data transfer rate; Supports ATAPI Devices, CD-ROM / CDRW / DVD/ DVDRW / Zip Drives or Tape Drives (not for IDE hard drives)
Convert your ATA 133/100/66 hard drive to 68 pin LVD U160 SCSI interface! Great for using large inexpensive IDE drives to greatly expand SCSI storage. This model is better suited for RAID applications.
